Mr. Hong is a founding partner of Veris LLP’s immigration and litigation practice group. Working with both the Business Transactions and International Practice groups, he specializes in Corporate and Transactional Law as well as federal and state litigation of first and third party insurance claims and the resulting bad faith litigation.

Mr. Hong’s international practice focuses on assisting businesses involved in acquisitions, expansions, contract restructuring and negotiations of various agreements with governments and foreign companies in Asia. He has particular expertise in the representation of foreign-based international companies and investment groups seeking to do business in the United States.

Mr. Hong’s immigration practice also includes representing foreign-national professionals in filing employment-based petitions on behalf of U.S. corporate clients and advising these clients on compliance with U.S. immigration law. Mr. Hong also represents various U.S. Companies in obtaining USCIS EB-5 Regional Center status through the I-924 Petition and to maintain the EB-5 Regional Center status by ensuring full compliance with the requirements of USCIS and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. Notwithstanding his representation of corporate clients, Mr. Hong also continues to represent individuals and their families in obtaining visas and green cards for entry into the United States and to obtain United States citizenship through naturalization.

Mr. Hong’s domestic corporate and transactional practice includes the representation of businesses and individuals in corporate and transactional matters, including formation, maintenance, mergers and acquisitions, reorganization, sales and acquisitions of stock of assets, and real estate finance matters.

Mr. Hong’s philosophy is to best serve his clients' interests by conducting an expeditious and economical investigation at the outset of a case so that his clients can evaluate and make an informed decision at the first opportunity prior to initiation of litigation. Mr. Hong’s clients generally benefit from prompt and thorough discovery and resolution through dispositive motions devoid of the commonly lackadaisical discovery process which results in costly litigation and an inevitably unfavorable result for the client.

Mr. Hong grew up in Cerritos, California and attended the University of California at Los Angeles where he graduated cum laude with Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He went on to receive a Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law where he was a member of the honors Interscholastic Trial Advocacy Program. Mr. Hong is a proud member of the Korean American Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
